About David Pentland
As a self-taught artist David has worked for many years as as successful freelance illustrator both in architecture and advertising.
Combining his passion however for military and aviation subjects with is experience in the commercial field he has produced a wide selection of military paintings, which have been shown in numerous exhibitions throughout Northern Ireland and the UK.
He has been commissioned by both public and private clients world-wide, with his images of aircraft and armoured vehicles appearing in a number of US magazines.
The subjects of his works are drawn from the Ancient, Dark Age, Medieval, Napoleonic and World War II periods right up to the present day.
